RBC Investor Services has appointed Craig Kinart as director, securities lending strategy and operations.

Kinart brings over 20 years of experience in financial services to his newly created position, in which he will report to Kerry Phippen, managing director of market services operations.

Based in Toronto, he will be responsible for supporting and delivering the firm’s securities lending operational initiatives, in addition to overseeing the day-to-day business management.

This new addition aims to strengthen the firm’s local and on the ground operational support team in Toronto, focused on client service for beneficial owners and counterparties.

Kinart joins the firm from TMX Group where he was most recently senior manager, strategy and innovation at the Canadian Depository for Â鶹´«Ã½.

Prior to this, he held a seven-year tenure at BNY where he took on the role as head of product, Canada.

Earlier in his career, Kinart held a number of senior positions during his 11 years with CIBC Mellon, in which he was most recently director of product management.
