Clearstream GSF volume outstanding jumps 22% YoY for August

Clearstream’s global securities financing (GSF) business has revealed a 22 per cent increase year-on-year (YoY) for volume outstanding, generating €880.35 billion in August, according to recent monthly figures.
Year-to-date for volume outstanding also increased, rising by 7 per cent from €716.64 billion in 2024 to €767.86 billion in 2025.
Assets under custody held in Clearstream were up by 9 per cent YoY to €20,534 billion for the month, and up 9 per cent year-to-date to €20,169 billion for 2025.
Regarding the firm’s investment funds services (IFS), securities deposits have grown by 11 per cent YoY for August to €4,163 billion.
The volume of transactions through the funds division has jumped from 4.7 million to 5.39 million — a 15 per cent YoY increase for the month.
International business securities deposits through the Clearstream ICSD were up 6 per cent YoY for August, generating €9,413 billion.
The number of transactions through the service have also risen by 15 per cent YoY to 9.22 million.
